PIG of a bear. video
« on: October 17, 2010, 11:14:13 AM »
Video of a bear in my yard (hitting my Raccoon bait...I know I can't shoot him)
How big do you think he is?  That is a 5 gallon pail.

He took down the wife's bird feeders, too.

:) Looks like a damn good sized bear say at least 350 to 400 lbs... Definitely a shooter in my book... Go get him...

Thats a nice bear.  You know it might not hurt to ask the dept for permission to shoot him.  The worst they could say is no.   :dunno:  Good for you for obeying the law though.  Its good to see guys that follow the law even when there is no chance of getting caught.

Regarding that law?    If you have baited in an area previously how long before it can be legally hunted without bait?  If the bear shows up in the yard one night again and usmc74 has quit baiting for a couple days and the bear is snooping around where bait used to be and usmc74 needs a new "pig of a bear" rug...........Is this in the regs somewhere?  When can it be hunted again or is it permanently off limits.  Just never thought of it I guess.......Grey area???

I have many vids of bears this year.  Almost all have had the cinamon coloring on black.  Maybe all related?  This is the first time I've seen the pig.  I jumped up to the raccoon alarm, and saw him out there.  I couldn't believe the size of him.  I really don't have an interest in shooting a bear (even though I bought the full elk, deer, bear, cougar tag).  I know I can't shoot them at night anyway.  They have even been coming by in the daytime.  Wife ran inside today saying a bear had just climbed over the neighbors fence.
