Drake's first duck
« on: October 17, 2010, 03:48:35 PM »
Well I took my wife out Deer hunting for the opening day and after seeing pumkins everywhere, we decided to wait till the middle of the week to deer hunting again. Since I dont have to worry about filling a deer tag, I thought it was time to get my one year old black lab his first duck. Unfortunitly I didnt wake up for the alarm this morning... Afterwaking up at about 8am, I took Drake out to do alittle jump shooting.. I have spent countless hours working and training Drake for birds and to finally get him out there was the best feeling.. I only shot one duck, but was worth it all.. He watched the duck jump up and fall down, he waited till the bird hit the water and swam after it.. I was alittle worried he would not pick up the bird, due to the taste, but he picked it up and brought it right back to my hand... I couldnt be more proud...
