my daughters 1st deer(dads deer added with daughters)
« on: October 18, 2010, 11:55:45 AM »
Well goes kinda like this. Took my little girl out opening morning and saw alot of deer but the people were running them everywhere, and it appeared they all would funnal into this one area to cross and get out of dodge. So as we were hunting and the day was going on i keeped watch on this area while when i could. well we ended up over by there and saw alot more deer  but she couldnt get the scope on them fast enough, that really seemed to be the biggest problem. so we ended the day with high hopes, she had to go get ballet pics taken for a calender and i went back out hunting and saw a few more deer put nothing legal.
So here it is 6am and with all the thinking and studing i have done i thought why not go sit about where that crossing seems to be.
So with all the faith in the world that her dad can make anything happen she fallows me to this spot with out question. This a.m. i decided to do things a little diffrent i took a few extra things, i made some shooting stix and made the envirment a little more relax like no pressure. So started telling her to watch and the deer will start to run to us. Well 7:00 comes around and the shooting started and the deer started running and in a short amount of time the deer started trying to prove my thoughts right. We watched these deer run all over and with all the hunters around there was just no outlet except for the good old crossing(where we were sitting) abd they all ran straight to us. anyway after 1 shot in the hind quarters and 1 in the rib cage here you go.

oh yea she is 10 years old
