Good to see you out in the field with the young feller. It's not about the number's,it's about the experience. Had ~200 mallards and ~100 GW teal on the property this weekend but didn't hunt as my old dog (>1,200 retrieves lifetime) was stoved up from too much exercize Friday. Birds should be there this coming weekend and am planning for it. Kinda getting stoked actually. Normally I don't hunt waterfowl before Thankgiving but hey......I think I'll test the new blind and get a couple of greenhead's!

I don't understand the personal attacks. A good way to discourage people.  :twocents:

The point of the post was to share our excitement, with what I felt was like minded people. I had a great day with my son, and yet, there are those who can only find meaning in their lives, by making fun of others.  You should be proud of how well you represent duck hunting as a whole, as you really set a great example for those who are just coming into the sport.  Now that is a real BAD IDEA!

regardless of the other statements, looks like you guys had a great time and the snows are my favorite bird by a long shot, I love them. I can hear them in my head 12 months out of the year. sometimes it really drives me nuts when I get home from a hunt I can hear the snows and they are LOUD, in my head. i'm a bit concerned actually, LOL  :P

And how do people that shoot unidentified birds or better yet, cant identify birds in their hands, represent the sport? :hello:

I'm no water fowl hunter, but some of the post here were really in bad taste.  Thanks for sharing the picks of your son and harvest.  Hey all the *censored*s that had something cute to say.  Guess what kinda bird I'm holding up to the screen now!

Thank U!....why do we need to encourage people who cant even do it right or better yet legal......same kind of guys that ruin the ethical hunter's mornings with thier kazoos and skybusting (at birds they cant identify)  :beatdeadhorse:....i think the horse is finally dead tho ;)
