What I meant by the 700 series is the 710 (shown in the picture) and the 770, <snip> So I hope that is clarification enough.

Well you've stated which models you are talking about but just to clarify I'd revise your interpretation of the statement "the 700 series", almost anyone would assume that includes the 700 which you aren't including in your mind.  Probably best to just specify the 710/770 in the future (and I don't think anyone is really going to argue on the statements you made about those ;)).

Wow you guys are harsh. Knocking the guys gun and his deer? Hope you all never shoot a dink or have to settle with an inexpensive gun. Been there done that myself in my younger years. I think you all need to cut a little slack now.

How come Iceman hasnt chimed in?????????
The only man who never makes a mistake, is the man who never does anything!!
The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.

he is probably still over on his hunt with his kids permits.

but honestly guys don't you think it is enough... the guy posts a story and report just to get bashed.. non stop we hear post pics, we want story then BLAM.. he gets hit with 20 questions from gun to hunter orange.
i bet we all have something (a pic or something) that others would or could find questionable in (their opinion.)
but we should encourage people to post and give their stories AND if others want to help with advise or comments then do it in a constructive manor and not make a guy not want to ever post again.
that is just my  :twocents:

good luck to all this year..  i'm taking my 10 year old on his first deer hunt this weekend.. can't wait.
