My heart and soul is with all of you!
« on: October 19, 2010, 03:26:10 PM »
I'm so Thankful that I have found this site.  I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the stories from this years deer season.  This is the first year in 13 years that I have missed out on hunting and harvesting an animal in Washington. I'm currently in Louisiana and soon to be in the STAN if ya know what I mean.  Keep at them and keep posting the pics, I'm going to love reading all the success stories when I'm able to be on the computer.  Believe me, as bad as the WDFW is the hunting up there is killer compared to down here.. What I wouldn't have done to chase bugling elk with my bow and hike high into the mountains in gmus 113 and 117 after Mulies.  I was born and raised in Ione so I grew up hiking and hunting in a premium area. With that, good luck to all of you, and thanks again for the stories you make my day:)

Welcome to the site, and stay safe when you get there. There will be plenty of critters waiting for you when you get back home.

Thanks for doing what you and the others do so we can have the freedom to hunt.

Good luck 10thMountain.  My little brother will be headed to the 10th Mountain next year.  Except he's going to Ft. Drum.  He'll most likely be in the BCT that'll replace yours.

I know what you mean as far as missing the hunting in Washington.  I used to complain about it all the time (I still do  :chuckle:)  But I'm down here in South East Alabama and would have given anything to chase Bugling Bulls with my bow or some spot and stalk open country Mulie hunting.   :dunno:  Oh well stay safe and save some for me.

I'll do my best over there thats for sure, I'm excited about the trip haha.  Hopefully next year I'll be on leave come deer season and I'll be able to get up there and do some real hunting.  I'll be in such good shape I could run up and down those mountains with ease.  What brings you down to the Dirty south?
