You can go in at Doty on Elk Creek Rd. It's mostly Weyerhaeuser and most of the roads are open.

It's not any better or any worse than any of the surrounding units. But it's worth a try. Being there is fairly good road access into the unit I believe poaching is common. Deer won't be easy to come by, you'll have to work for them. I hunted the unit last Saturday with my uncle and saw two does.

This.  I was in there overnight for archery elk this year.  I heard a noise in the clear cut behind me about 9:30pm.  I go over and look and see 4 guys with spotlight and rifles.  I got the hell out of there and called WSP and reported it.  They took my info but I've never heard back from them.

yes i think there is poaching in some of the units over here to. as some of the areas dont have gates on them. its a shame that is why i carry mr 40 sw with me as well when im deer or bear hunting with my rifle.

I have hunted in it alot and really it has to much access all year round and like any place where the gates are not locked the animals are skiddish. maybe find a high point viewing somewhat thick jackfirs and be real patient.
