vmkeith, how do you like that Nikon scope you are using?
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

Hey GreyWolf...fancy seeing you here.  I'm probably going to go with the EMOD.  FC, as for my Nikon scope, I've only taken it to the range once...so far I like it.  But I need to find a range further out...I've only thrown lead out to 100yds so far.

How is the field of view? I've been eyeballing that scope for a while but haven't had the chance to look through one.

The field of view is good, but I've only run it at 2-4x so far.  The glass is nice and clear, with a sharp reticle.  The Nikon Prostaff I'm running doesn't have the BDC reticle, just the standard Nikon reticle, but it's good.  The windage and elevation adjustments are 1/4 MOA clicks and are pretty sharp.  I switched between slow and rapid fire and she held up zero.  My next trip to the range will determine is she held zero since I removed and reinstalled it.

Very nice, I wouldn't buy a BDC scope anyway. Thanks for the opinion on the scope!

Seriously, where does a guy have to go to get a 200 yard zero, anybody know? Shooting at 50 is okay but a true 200 on paper would be nice to find.

Here are a few of my AR's-
This first one is a 18" Bison Armory, Mega Arms with side charging upper, it is sitting with my 16" Noveske Switch-block, Noveske, both are 6.8's

These are my .223's.
This is a Daewoo (Korean) from Kimber out of Clackamas, OR at the time. GREAT piston rifle, takes the standard AR magazine. I had to put a bunch of US parts in it, would love to take it out for coyotes. The next one is my 16" LaRue Stealth / Olympic Arms.

Marysville Rifle Club has a rifle range out to 200yd, I think maybe even 300yds? But if you are not a member I think there are only a few times a year on weekends and mid-week days when they allow the general public. I dont know when that is but you can check on their website. Kenmore also has a member only range out to 300yds but I dont know if they ever have public sight-in allowed on that. I know that doesnt do us public shooters alot of good but at least there are a few days if you catch it at the right time.... :twocents:

Thanks! All the open areas around me that my relatives used to go shooting at are now neighborhoods.

Yeah, that makes it tough. I tried a few of those areas but all the kids and SUV's running around are really distracting!  :chuckle:

Heres mine kind of crappy pic. Started life as an Oly arms A2. Just got the DPMS flattop today. Now just need to figure out what scope to put on it.

I have been bitten!  Started out as a DPMS Panther Bull 20" with A2 stock and a JP trigger.  Now has an LMT lower that I had traded a bow for.  Switched the trigger over because I like the way the LMT fit the upper better.

:mgun2: :whoo:  Finally was able to build one!  Areo Precision lower with DPMS parts.  The reflex sight is awesome and I was able to hit a 1 inch dot at a 100 yards with it, but I really want a scope for coyotes and ground hogs or whatever.  The reflex is for 3 gun, if I can figure out where one is being held at.

That is the exact AR I am building only with a black matte barrel, and no special trigger for now. Cool looking for sure!!
