Leupold Customer Service...A++++
« on: October 21, 2010, 08:46:07 AM »
I contacted Leupold about the availability of eyecups for a pair of 20+ year old Porro I.F. binos I have.  My nephew had lost one last season.

Yesterday I received a reply saying they were sending me a set of eyecups.  I had intended to buy them but they never even asked me to.

I sent these same binos in for repair several yrs ago after something came loose inside from me carrying them on the fender of my dirt bike.  They did a complete rebuild on them and didn't charge me a dime.

It is things like this that will keep my buying Leupold products.

Another +1.
My Gpa sent in his fixed 4x for repairs - one of the seals went bad and it had fogged up.  They replaced with a new one at no charge.  The amazing part?  It was 36 years old and had obviously been used often...

Yeah, I had the same experience with a pair of early 90's Leupys that I have...I called them and asked them about the eyecups and had them within a week.  I told them that I was willing to pay for them but they weren't having any of it.

FIRST RATE customer service.

Leupolds customer service is hard to beat.
I sent a E-mail to leupold asking if my 10 year old leupold tripod could be fixed and what it would cost, the screw/lever that you tighten to hold the ball in the head in place wont hold tight anymore.
I got a E-mail back that said to send in the tripod and theyed send me a new one for free.

Have to admit you cannot beat their customer service.  Same think with the eye pieces.  You expect to have to purchase or argue and they just say what is your address and send.  That is why a buy their scopes and binos.  They stand behind them and they are good quality.

 :yeah:  Sent my son's Pinnacles in to get the eyecups fixed ( they wouldn't stay locked in the extended position).  Got a brandnew pair in the mail about a week later.  First rate customer service at about 1/4 to 1/2 the cost of Swaro.

I had the same experience with them.  That's why I don't consider any other brand.

My brother sent in his vari-x III 3x9 to see if it could be repaired (it had been dropped pretty hard and was  over 20 years old). after starting work on it they determined it was not worth fixing and offered him a free replacement 3x9 his buddy told him to ask if they would replace it with the 4x12 w/boone & crocket reticle, they said sure and sent it out. You can't really find that kind of service anywhere these days.

I too have had nothing but good experiences with Leupold. They are the Best. They are the only scope I buy.
