I haven't hunted westside lake but hunt ducks on the salt bays and rivers.  To me the westside has some of the best duck huning in the country.  I will say that my brother in law from the midwest describes hunting the westside "It's like duck hunting in the shower with the cold water turned on".

After the first shot the rest are just noise.

i believe it only ddepends on citylimits, and wether or not there are houses with in a certain amount of where you hunt on the lake.....they consider house areas safety zones from what i have been told in the past......But i usually just use my best judgement.
