Well this is just my  :twocents: You might try the usual places IE Cabelas, etc. You are correct you get what you pay for, so that's why my scope is a ziess. Never has failed me in the rain, sleet, snow, cold or heat, flawless. A little spendy but well worth $$. I personally would not go cheap on optics, again that's just my  :twocents: Hope you find what you want, good luck..  ;)

Pat you are asking for an impossible combination there. Have a look at the Bushnell Banner series scopes, they aren't mil dot reticle but they are clear and dependable optics.
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

I've got 2 Pentax Pioneers that were about each $195 I believe. Very clear and nice. I have Penatx Gameseeker also. $140 delivered from Ebay. Check 'em out. Shop online before you buy. Cabelas is expensive for just about everything they sell. Plus you have to pay sales tax if you live in Washington plus shipping. Ain't worth it. :twocents: I've also got ATN, Bushnell & Tasco scopes. Just depends on what you're happy with.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

I also have a pentax pioneer 4x12x42 I think. It is basically the same as the burris fulfilled II and I only paid 130 shipped to the door. This is for a backup rifle but i do not think you could beat it for the price. Search google for it and it should come up.  It was from a company that is owned by best buy.

Ebay often has good deals on NIB scopes.  I picked up a couple of Burris Fullfields for $130-140 delivered.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

do you need mil dots?

you should be able to get a nikon with BDC reticle in that price range. good optics for the price range.

"Right now, I am thinking that If my grandmother was here, she would be lecturing me about how there are poor people in Africa, that would just love to have a Ruger, I would just say "Great, granny, lets just ship all the Rugers to Africa!"

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.
