I don't think you are going to get much help on this one!  :dunno: Welcome to the site maybe try making some friends, post up some pics, share some stories and maybe next year you will get some help! No promises in that area

No ideas here, just returned from a week in the woods and all we seen were a few does and those weren't very often.  Didn't see any bucks hanging at other camps nor hear much chatter on radios about anyone having much success.  Took a first timer (15 yr old) with us and was hoping for some success, just didn't work out that way, and we had a hell of a trip, RV breakdown, pack out to uhaul and go at it anyway, turned the kitchen tent into the sleeping quarters.  We really like the area we hunt but are starting to believe without weather it may not be the best of places to hunt.  Good luck and hope your son has a great time, our youngster loved every minute of it.

Thanks, to all that have responded.  We are having a fun time just wish we could see something. We are mainly hunting up in buzzard lake area, and some in Orville.

Have not been out over there this year, but talking to the crew who is over there, slim pickins this year.  Not seeing many deer, very few bucks of any kind.  Two of them took dink's and that is the only ones they have seen.  My dad says this is the fewest deer he has seen in the lower Methow in a long time.  Even slimmer numbers than when we had a been winter kill a few years back.  Said that not only are they not seeing many deer, but little sign as well.

The one they got yesterday was rutted up all ready and chasing doe's hard.  Seems a few weeks earlier than normal for them to be rutting.  Early winter maybe.

Was over in the Boneparte opening weekend saw lots of muleys opening day , large forked horn muley. Sunday morning saw a few muley does and broke for lunch. My boy had a youth permit to take a muley doe but we never saw one Sunday afternoon or Monday morning, came home empty handed. Tough weekend, moon was bright at night and warm weather.Monday morning had a my hunting partner , his son and my son were spread out on this ridge glassing and here comes this guy with his young son in their nice new ranger buggy  and parked down below the boys and walked out and sat down a hundred yards below where the boys were glassing. Hunting partner walked down there and said didn't you see us up above you and he said yes but there is plenty of room for them too. We got so mad went to camp packed and left for home
