New Pup coming Wed
« on: October 24, 2010, 09:24:56 AM »
As some may remember, we put down our two labs this past summer.  We have decided to move on with a new pup.   She is a Yellow Lab from OakHaven Kennels.   Her mom is one point away from Master Hunter National status, and Her Dad is "Downtown Doadie Brown"  who has 35 National Plate wins.  I have 2nd choice of the 3 females on Wed so do not know yet which one I will get, but they are all good looking and great lineage.   Her name will be "Downtown  Abigail Brown"  or "Abby" for short. :chuckle:

I hope she will be ready this time next year as I have a trip to Nebraska, S. Dakota, and N Dakota next year.  My host said bring a case of shells, half 4s and half 6s, and after 2 1/2 weeks may have to buy more :chuckle:

Sounds like corn fed pheasant for dinner for a while.
Last guy I talk to that hunted there said the bird were huge.

Good luck with the new dog.

I have hunted all three and Kansas.  I believe there are more birds in Ndakota than S Dakota and yes they are big.
