For those of you who let him walk, good for you, this nice looking 2.5 year old will live to be bigger next year to temp your socks off.

For those of you that waited and the animal moved out and you got the shot and you now have a freezer full of perfect venison.

For those of you that tried to needle a bullet lengthwise through the brush on a deer you weren't even sure was legal.  :nono:

I'm kinda late too but I would have let him walk even after I got a good look at him.  He's just a baaaayby!  Give him 3 or 4 years.

Perhaps next year, I will wait for a 2X1 black tail.... ;)

Sorry..not trying to take over the thread...just making fun of myself...

And in my own defense..it was my first bear in the pic above...I thought it was bigger than a black lab when I first saw it...I thought it was at least a great dane...lol

You're doing a good job. ;)

Thats ok, Longtat posts pics of smaller animals than that everyday, and he is keeping the local taxidermist in business and thats OK too.

3rd picture only, kaboom in the neck. No pride here, that's a year's worth of meals for us. Yum. Gives you  a day and a half to kick back anyways.

Since I have never killed a muley before, I would kill him.  No, I would not shoot at him thru the brush since I could barely even tell he was a buck.
