Score Shopping is NOT permitted
« on: November 05, 2010, 04:00:15 PM »
Since there are quite a few animals in the freezer by now, I figure it's a good time to discuss a topic that is a sure-fire way to keep your animal out of the record books, if that is your intention.

Speaking specificially to B&C and P&Y, "Score shopping" is defined as having your skull, horns, or antlers scored more than once in attempt to get the highest score.   In other words, if you have your animal scored by an official B&C or P&Y member, that is your score unless you file a complaint or issue with the Records offices of those organizations.  You can't leave and go find another measurer to see about getting it "re-scored".  Not allowed.

Bottom line, if you want your animal entered in a B&C or P&Y Record book, ensure you are seeking the scoring services (which are FREE by the way) of a certified measurer and be prepared to accept that score as the final net score. All entries are reviewed by the Records Office for accuracy as well.

Any questions, please don't hesitate to call me 360-870-7264
