Is it just me, or does that pic look fake...
I don't know but there was someting that looked a bit off to me as well. I thought he was sitting way behind the cat.

Still I think the cat is pretty big, really big front legs and it's front paw look like a package of Johnsonville "Brats" sittin there.  :chuckle:

I hope the cat is real cause if so someone has one hell of a nice cat.  :twocents:

sorry, don't mean to start second guessing things, and I have never shot a cougar, and I dont hound hunt...blah blah blah...but it looks wrong to me.

Sort of like a true cat pic, then the hunter and the hunters/dogs photoshopped in to make the cat look like a monster. Dogs also look like they could care less.... Hunter twos face looks lighted wrong....Cats back looks like too clean of an edge against the dogs...

Maybe I just need glasses...

It does look odd and this picture has been discussed alot over the last year or so. I think the conclusion is that it is real just set up to make it look bigger.

I just came across this pic from the same guy. Maybe this is real. It says that it was shot in Baker county Oregon.

Well handled dogs know when it's dead... it's dead and you leave it alone.

You're over opinionated about hound hunting for someone who doesn't do it. In the last pic posted looks pretty real to me! And real big too! Someday...

This series of pics have been around for awhile, they showed up on MM a few years back as well. I tried an archive search but could not find the thread.
If I remember right there was some discusion about the guy in the pic being vertically challenged, lol.

Look photoshopped to me....and the dogs dont appear to be interested in the cat which you know they would be trying to sniff/looking at etc.  :twocents: Still a big azz cat....and better off as a rug  :)

I'm not saying that it's real or fake, but only I've been around a few hound hunting kills and when the animal is dead, the dogs leave it alone. So, the dogs not interested in the cat is not a determining factor in whether the pic is fake.

Are they taught to leave it alone....or is it just something innate?  I guess I can only relate it my labs who cant leave the birds alone or the deer I bring home etc.
