That water is really cold and the tides are NOT anything to mess with. I went out in a 14ft flat bottom last year alone with a 6 horse outboard. I pulled my dekes and was messing with them in my boat for a while and when I looked up I was about 1/2mile from where I thought I was and it was raining so hard and blowing I couldnt tell which way was which.There was easily a 3' chop and the waves were coming from 2 different directions (wind and tide) I couldnt tell which way was which I knew the wind was blowing from the north that day but it was like being in the middle of a soup bowl that day. If I were in a toob; A tube is not a good idea
