Ya but the antis won't allow it or bugwaw Seattle types (however it's spelled) wont allow it.
"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. When a hunter dies we feel it, we sense it, and the world trembles with sorrow. When I die, so shall the world, from the shock of loosing such a great part of ones soul." Ezekiel, Okeanos Hunter

Maybe they need to issue more tags for cat hunters, like they do for bear.  As it is right now, I'm having to convince a few buddies of mine to get cat tags.  I plan on doing the majority of the work, but just need them as shooters.

Don't mean to sound ignorant but I've never hunted Cougar before, When does the season end. Where is the biggest problem area? I'd be happy to get my tag and help out, hate to see guys losing good livestock and such.

The season is only a couple months long for boot hunters, archery, muzzleloader, modern (no dogs ). It used to be about 6 months long. I'm just guessing since I don't have the game laws handy. They're in my truck. Up in the Curlew area is probably one of the worst ( best ) areas for cats. I've had 3 different pictures of cats sent to me in 4 days this week. We need hound hunting back 'cuz I'd have me some dawgs !!! :chuckle: :chuckle:

Lemme know when/where the Cat Party is.  Would like to partner up with somebody for caller/shooter duties.  I've been into a lot of cat sign this year in various areas on the Oly Pen, so they are out there fo' show'!

Have had a few hair-raising moments (literally).

I only talked to a couple guy`s this year that saw cat`s and missed em. :bash: Talked to the gamies last year while hunting in GMU 340 and was told it has the highest cat population per square mile then any other place in the state. Guy I work with has a cousin that took the state record out of there last year. Caught him on a scratchin post. here are a few pics.

                   Cougar Roast
Nice piece of cougar meat like the leg ham,
Brown in skillet with Bacon grease
, put into roasting pan or dish with sliced onions beneath it
add potatoes , carrots, celery,
spread a few slices of red cabbage across the top
add the rest of the onion sliced across the top sprinkle with garlic powder and pepper
Take a package of chicken and a package of pork gravy mix and mix with 2 cups of water then pour over the top
Bake for 3 hours or so at 325.
( you can use a frozen roast too just bake it for about 6 hours at 300) you'll love it! .
