Patton do you do much hunting on the island? I have some property there and my family owns about 10 acres of heavily forrested land. There are always deer on our property but they are just hard to get a look at. I will be going over there during the Thanksgiving weekend and my friend will be trying to shoot a deer with his bow. We are also going to go hunting on my aunt's lake that is usually packed with ducks. Any decent public land to hunt there?

Patton,  you know they opened it to archery this year..... just like waterfowl... you have to put in for an area... PM me if you are interested in what you have to do... I plan on chasing that big 5 pt just off Crescent Harbor when it opens back up for late archery.

Thanks i got all the info a couple of weeks ago.  Too bad it's not open out here on Maylor Point.  Supposedly only one deer (a doe) was taken in early archery out there where you're talking about.  That private property that I'm hunting on isn't too far from there.  My son ended up with a little 2x1 from there if you didn't see.  Well if you do hunt there I hope you get him>
