How about launch at John Luhr at Nisqually?   :chuckle:  I'm up for Tacoma or Hood Canal but probably not for north of Tacoma.

Isn't there a launch in/near Dupont?
Anyone going to have extra seats?

There is a launch on the base near Ketron Island. I might have extra seats if my wife deosn't end up going.

I'll probably have room for two extras, depending upon when and where and what is going on at that time in regards to work...

This poll is also to help determine interest level, so if you have friends or family that would participate, please throw their preference up as well, thanks.

I'm in. My vote is for area 8,9,or 10. Depending on what we are fishing for. If its silvers, then area 9. If its for the catch and kill kings, I vote for the urban derby...Elliott Bay. If its for dog fish, dont even bother to show up...I'm the master. :chuckle:

Oh no, no, no, I'm the dogfish mastah!  Our family use to have an annual dogfish derby every 4th of July and Labor Day weekends.  There is no telling how many dogfish we have caught over the years.  I think it would be fun to add dogfish to the bounty!   :chuckle:

You are forgetting those of us up north. How about we launch/fish up here and then trust us to be honest with our weights?

I've have never claimed to take a 500lb blacktail.

A good salmon will run you out of 100 yards of 25lb test line. Best eating fish there is, too.

Do we have a time frame for this derby? It would make a difference as to which area to target.

I'm tentatively thinking weekend of July 19th, no other derby's going on and fishing should be OK. I'm also going to solicit local marina's to allow us to weigh our catch on their scale, take a photo, etc. (Everett, Tacoma, Seabeck, Zittels, others?). Probably the best way with everyone spread out.

I'll be fishing on the Kenai River that week. Can I weigh my fish in from there? :chuckle:
