I think you need to recheck your mappage once more because you are obviously not understanding what is being stated. I dont know anything about the "old buckley farm" but I am talking about the property that is right behind the rainier school off ryan rd. which in no way shape or form is in the mashel unit. Then the Office gate and the bridge gate are 654 and are not even close to being in the 653 unit there is quite a bit of land that seperate the three pieces of property. As many people actually know the hancock properties that purchase the kapowisin permits. Either of the other kapowisin properties do not back up to the buckley property which is actually in 653. So before you get all excited and post something wrong check recheck and recheck again :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:

Not exited here, trust me. I've been hunting and working on that land since the early '90's, thank you, I think I know it just fine. I'll restate what I said in simpler terms so maybe you understand. CURRENTLY, Hancock authorizes hunting in Kapowsin only by vehicle with a Kapowsin permit, per their written policy, Hancock also states Kapowsin is in Mashel GMU based on the old divisions which clearly need to be updated. This was no slam to your person, it actually supports what you were saying, take a valium.

yes the kapowison permit allows you onto kapowison property which is the mashel unit but with the kapowison permit you are allowed in the eatonville and the buckley gate. it is clearly stated when purchasing the permit so I think that the poilicies are stated just fine

+1..buying the kapowsin permit allows you to go into the two kapowsin gates plus the eatonville and buckley gates..and if you want to, you can buy a permit just for the eatonville gate for a lesser price.

good deal thats better sized than any I have gotten I am definilty a meat hunter so that could explain alot just havent had the oppurtunity at a big one quite yet. were you in the bridge gate or the gate at the office. I havent been in either in such a long time do to all the comments of how damn people are in there. I am not a fan of all the traffic but since the mucks bought 7000 acres from the buckley property it almost feels like hunting in a damn tuna can with all the road hunters

I hunted in kapowsin south, and central for several years the escapement areas that hancock is establising are a nice change.  To those of you who havent been up there in a few years much of the lower main road systems in south especially are now gated walk in only.  This has really cut down on how many hunters you see as it seems most of the people in the tree farm are road hunters.  My advice is buy a good mountain bike find a gate and start peddling I tagged out the last two years I hunted up there by doing just that.  As for those of you that think sitting in your truck shooting deer in the clearcuts is hunting I have no advice for you since our idea of what hunting is seems to be quite different.

I took this week off to hunt and after 3 days shot this 2x3 in the bridge gate. I gave my son first shot but all he could see was his head. He shot free hand and because his gun is 3 inchs high at a 100 yards shot over. The buck jumped to go down a bank and when he did I dumped him like a box of rocks... We have been in with the does as close as 10 yards at some points but the bucks are not in with them yet. We have seen several buck but they were all by them selves. We put on at least 10 to 15 miles a day on foot. If you don't go to them they will not come to you... JAMNG
