more quail

Went out a few hours for quail and saw more elk than quail in 342. Managed to only get 5 today
Anyway a nice day in the field with the dog.

I took a grouse today while deer hunting.
Used the good old .257  :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

I don't think you are suppose to do that, but I too have taken multiple grouse with the good old .257

Actually, you are allowed to take grouse with a centerfire rifle.
