The "Historic Village" area has always held some nice blacktails.  We did a couple large utility construction projects in Dupont over last 10 years and we would see a couple big boys during the project.  Trust me, the residents would call the cops if anyone found out you were hunting in there because the deer are pretty tame and many of the people think of them more as pets. 

I would suggest a jar of peanut butter and a hammer if you want to fill your tag in this area.

I work in DuPont and always use the local deer for my rut "gauge".  When I start seeing bucks in the parking lot, I know the pre-rut chase phase is ramping up

Bow4elk I to do the same thing. I have been since 95'. The deer are slowly declining in numbers. Use to see large bucks on a regular basis but haven't seen one this big before. There is definitely an advantage to no hunting zones to grow big deer.
