Trail cam lesson #1....
« on: October 26, 2010, 08:42:23 PM »
So I learned a hard lesson today, which is:
When checking your trail cam DURING hunting season, NEVER check it without your bow/gun in hand....coulda/shoulda/woulda had a 3x2 blacktail buck this evening. 15 yard kill shot. DOH!

That won't happen again.
Take up your bow, a quiver full of arrows, head out to the country and hunt some wild game.  GEN 27:3

Also, always have your gun handy when your butt is hanging over a log. I was squeezing one out one blistery day and looked up to see a 3x3 watching me.  :bash:

To add salt to the wound there is no pic of the buck. I saw it when I was heading to my camera about 100 yards away. Only a few does on the camera.

Yeah me to. Just finished up and was packing up my stuff when I heard something. I looked up to see the ass end of a buck run into the woods.  :bash:
It's not the size of the trophy that make's it a trophy.
