I like the BAR a lot better than remington or winchester semi autos.  I considered buying one from a friend but just couldn't do it as I like a good solid bolt rifle too much.  It was a nice shooter though

I have a A-bolt II in 325wsm so i have a good bolt gun the main reason other than just wanting a auto rifle is they offer in left hand.

I don't think there is a better semi-auto rifle on the market than the BAR.

Well long or short is going to be dependent on what caliber you choose. WSM are short trac's. 270 is long. Your talking two different calibers plus one is a mag and one isn't.
You wont be disappointed in the BAR no matter what caliber you choose.

Personally I shoot a BLR in 300 WSM. And a BAR in 30-06.

270wsm versas 7wsm. 7wsm if you reload  and have the cases. If you do not reload then a 270wsm would work. Also if you get the 270wsm and don't reload save your cases for me I'll even pay you for the shipping.
Nothing like a Remington model 700xcr.

sounds good i was leaning towards the 270wsm anyway. I was looking through what cabelas and midway had a as far as ammo selection and there seems to almost double the options for factory loadings for the 270wsm.
