every year there are more people and less elk.... zoo is an understatement.

The nile is a huge area and has lots of elk.  I have hunted it a lot over the years.  There are a lot of people, but most don't get far off the road.  If the weather comes it can be a great place to hunt.  If the weather doesn't come...better off staying home.

It will be a zoo for sure. The nile is a small unit compared to many other units that are open. The roads are pretty much every where so no matter how hard you try you will end up running into another road if you try to distance your self from others. There are better units to hunt, but that being said I will probably hunt in a time or two during late season. There will be plenty of elk and a few deer to chase around.

Yes,  1600 road (?) its private property on both sides of it from Nile Creek for about the 1st 4-5 miles..  then it becomes public property after that... THe blue gates are private and the brown gate marks the beginning of the public area.  Problem is with so many roads,  unless you get up around Clover SPrings (providing the weather allows it) you cannot get far from any roads... the lower section up through Lindsey camp is crawling with people.

I don't get it.....There are a ton of places to get away from people.  All you have to do is get out of your truck. I have an approx 5 mile hike / loop I do and will never see another hunter.  I didn't hunt it last year, but the year before I chased big bucks and elk every day.  If you want to see a zoo go to the clockum right now for modern elk.  Now that's a zoo.  The nile will be nothing like that and even though it is one of the smaller gmu's it is still very larg and can accomidate a lot of hunters.  Good Luck.
