1/2  to 2 oz sinkers I use small salmon size hooks, slip sinker set up..start getting and freezing some cut bait..average fish 3lbs and up I would say...small gear for bass...we fish shallow water 2ft to 20 ft...regular size rods are fine..the marina does not open early so keep that in mind each evening if ya head out early in the am...

I am assuming that you guys fish them primarily at night? How is the fishin' during the day?

We have only fished them during the day. We did wonder how night would be maybe we can get a night party going.

I have a couple of extra tents if ya want to use one. they are the 4 man dome tents. Also, I would like to get in on the night trip for kitty fish if your kid is up to it. My girls will probably want to be snoozin' away at that time of night.

There is very little current but another anchor to help keep the boat from swinging in the wind helps. There is a small shallow spot getting into the river but then deeper on up the river after going up once you will learn the chanell. A lot of people fish for smallmouth and walleye so don;t leave anything home.

I would love to be there! Fishing should be good and seeing Jim present as 2 different people should be impresive  ;)
