I have to say with all the fishing, and running through the flats with a pucker that wouldn't quit because of low water, the great food and good fellowship.Watching those folks with their children there,Including myself. it was awesome to see the family's bond..For me to sit with my son on the water or share the tent at camp is what its all about.Playing Frisbee with Lil Loki, sierra, and Katlin was a blast...Sierra tried to get me fatter on a variety of jelly beans,me teasing Katlin about boys a little,oh and the look on Lil Loki's face when he was given a fishing pole that elite1 had won was awesome also.Think I teared up a little on that one..My son smoked me on catching fish, yet never picked on me about it,,,,,NOT,,,LOL .Having a cup of Joe with my friends in the morning Buckhorn2 and bob, which I haven't done in quite awhile was something that I had looked forward to...Shooting marshmallows at buckhorn2 and folks with my wrist rocket was fun also{thud] lol...Sitting with Steve aka elite1 and having a few sips of apple pie was up there on the list of times I will not forget.Steve and his wife did a wonderful job on the quilt and the derby. But all in all it was the families bonding that really was the topper..Thanks to all of you for the great memories.

After pulling my boat out today I notice that I am missing all of the paint off of the skeg and the nice shiny stainless prop is now sanded down to a dull frost. good times and I am sore from the pucker factor.

Nice photos of the family and all your fish.  It was nice chatting with you and I think Zoltan had fun with Cierra.

Funny, I didn't get that pucker factor... guess there are advantages of a $500 boat.   :chuckle:

Did you guys see the news, a boat with three adults and one 2 year old went down on the Snake River this weekend.  Seems they were in a 14 foot Jon boat and the anchor snagged and down she went.  Two of the adults made it to shore, the 2 year old drown and the Dad's body has not been found.   :(

Sad for sure but no one was wearing a life jacket. even the little girs had a flotation device, not a life jacket. I know that neither of my girls are wearing their's in any of the pics but there is a HUGE difference between anchoring in the snake in a 14' jon boat that is loaded vs. anchoring in the palouse in a 21'. Jackets are worn whenever boat is in motion.

sad is right...but i saw a boat out there that was tiny and looked pretty overloaded no one wearing vests and my thought was if the wind kicks at all that boat is not gonna make it back....there is a huge difference in boats, fast murky rivers and small boats are not usually a good combo....sad for sure but people need to learn their limitations and little boats + kids = life jackets

Your boat is a lot different then the one described, plus your girls were quite a bit older than the 2 year old.  I too would only have them wearing lifevest while under power.  Up on the Palouse they were plenty safe in your boat.
P.S.  That is a very nice set up you have!!

got back from moses lake late last night . hope everyone had a good time ,i know i did . sure is nice when the kids take time to go fishing for a week with the old man . there's nothing better than quality time . seemed to be a great turnout this year . hope next year is even better . many many thanks to rasbo and others for helping with the derby & prizes . especialy my wife for putting together an awsome quilt . hope everyone liked the prizes . grundy , you have a seat in my boat anytime . might even get a chair for your bow space . lil loki , take care of your new rod , cause it will catch a lot of fish for you . real sad to hear about a boat going down . you have to think safety at all times . prayers to the family . see everyone at the bbq . everybody think about how we can make next year even better .

I had a great time. You and your boys are really stand up folks. Tell your wife that the quilt looked fantastic. She did a wonderful job! I can't wait until next year.

the quilt that we got is awesome. I can't believe the amount of work that goes into these. Everyone there was great and we are already to go again next year. hope there can be some more kids there next year, maybe those of us with kids taking turns not fishing and keeping watch over the children. wife told me she wants to go over for 6-7 days next year so as to not have to be fishing all day every day.I gotta be a little quicker on the draw for those waterjet fish next time. Thanks to all that helped put this on and maybe it'll continue to grow.

Toyman was the firefighter. Robert isn't on here and Todd can't remember his screen name. AND I was the good looking guy..... especially with my new hat...
