Mid afternoon adventure
« on: November 07, 2010, 04:09:45 PM »
Took the kids for a hike up to the pond, not really expecting to see anything, it's been pretty slow around here.
We kicked up a couple ducks too far away when we reached the pond, so we sat there for a few minutes then the kids went and played in a hollow stump for a while.  When we started for home I looked back just in time to see a duck land back at the pond, I snuck back and jump shot this hen.  The kids had a blast and each are looking forward to duck dinner tonight.

Sounds like a fine afternoon even if you didn't get a duck.  I like to see kids out learning what its all about.  my 3 year old is ready for hunting already she like helping with the decoys at home.

I sure hope my kids enjoy the outdoors as they get older.
