2010 Pearrygin late tag
« on: November 03, 2010, 10:14:32 AM »
Has anyone that got drawn for the Nov. 1-20 Pearrygin tag hunted there yet? If so how did it go? Any snow yet? My brother got drawn for it but was not able to make the first few days but will be heading over later.

Thanks, BVH

Is this Ben VH???  If so, I hope your dad is doing better.    I talked to KB yesterday regarding your Bro's trip.  If you guys need  an extra set of eyes or a hand, let me know.  Good luck to your brother.  That is a great tag.

Blue skies and hot.  Hardly any rut action yet, and the migrators aren't in.  Its good he isn't burning gas or shoe leather at this point.  I expect the rut to change things shortly.  He can rest easy that he isn't here yet.

Nothing like a good local report on the rut and migration activity.  Good advice.

As far as I know, they haven't gone over yet.

I saw the first two migrators move in(of the deer I had been watching) at the end of this last week.  One had already hooked up and one was on the move, NOT on a doe, but obviously covering ground moving to his spot.  There had been one kill at the gun range.  Generally what happens, ESPECIALLY with blue bird skies is that guys get really nervous about day 5 when they haven't seen anything and then they bus t that 3.5 year old four point.   I see it EVERY YEAR.   If they are happy, then good for them.

I could only dream for that tag, lol
