Battleground is a firearm restriction area and there are elk on Larch but its a small local herd thats kinda hard to find. There are more elk on the north end of the unit year round. but if the snow flies alot more elk pour into the Larch side.

The "no shooting" signs on larch are for target shooters, hunters are allowed to shoot animals there, (i live on larch ) theres not any sort of firearm restrictions just dont shoot near the corrections phacility, I have seen elk up there before even a couple of nice bulls, but very rarely youll really have to look for them, maybe try somewhere way back in the grouse vista area.

nice, theres some PIG! deer back in there most people just roadhunt or watch cuts there though, you gotta go deep most of the time to get deer of that caliber.

A blacktail of this caliber should outdo any other buck. Those are awesome deer. When I first saw the picture I thought they were huge whitetails
