golden retriever
« on: November 03, 2010, 08:08:20 PM »
I wasn't sure where to put this so I thought I would put it here. Feel free to move it to another section if needed. My friend just asked me if I wanted a 9 month old male golden retriever. As much as I would love to take him, I can't as I have a 7 month old black lab. I am still gathering all the info but basically, they got him a few months ago and then she got pregnant and they want to get rid of him because they can't give him the time he needs. I can get more info about him if anybody is interested and as far as I know, he is free.

I'd say they should call the breeder. Lots of times the breeder has people on a waiting list and getting a late phone call asking if they want a dog can be a blessing to some?

Is the breeder from Auburn? Co-worker just got a Golden pup that looks exactly the same and is the same age?

If so, I can have him call them. i think they've been breeding Goldens a long time if they are who I think they are.

They tried calling the breeder but given the time frame, he has another litter coming in a few months. Also, they are from Oregon so I am pretty sure its not the same one. The picture I posted was an older picture as he now looks more mature. Once I can download the newer pictures I will do so.

please tell me the dog is not in a leotard and a bandana!?

I know some folks who run the local golden retriever club. PM me with your information and I can forward to someone involved in the Golden Retriever breed rescue group if needed.
