Douglas,  Great photos as always.  What a talent.  Just have to ask though.  How close were you to this buck?  I know a lens can bring it up close, but also know the closer you are the better the shot.   Thanks for sharing.

I photographed him two years ago and he was basically mature, probably 4.5 then, so now 6.5.

I think I was about 45 yards.  I got within 20 of him that night but it was too dark for photos.  He stayed in that spot for about 4 days I reckon, then disappeared.   I hope he moved on and didn't end up in someones freezer.  The natives hunt that nasty hard.
