Wilkeson area?
« on: November 04, 2010, 10:59:54 AM »
Planning on hitting the late modern blacktail hunt on this side somewhere.

Looking on google earth, Wilkeson looks like its fairly friendly to a person with a spine injury to hunt.
Any other areas i may look into that are friendly to a person with a spine injury for deer hunts?

Without getting a disabled hunter permit and road hunting, i want my first deer to be taken like everyone elses first deer and working for it.

looking at wilkeson area above the quarry or greenwater possibly.

TANNERITE needed for target practice on opening day of each hunting season.

Going to be a lot of road hunters in both areas. In the Wilkeson area you need to make sure you know your property boundaries, some of it is Hancock and in that section they don't allow people to enter their property for any reason without a permit.

Also be prepared to be checked by WDFW and USFS Law Enforcement Officers, they patrol heavily in those areas.

tweakers and there used to be waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy to much poaching up there, I shot my first deer up there when I was 18.  The first buck I saw and missed was a 4 point, then a 3 point jump up, missed again.  Then a 2 point right after the first two deer stood there and looked at me but by then I was out of bullets!!!!!  Ran back to the truck grabbed a different gun, went back out where the deer had ran away from and ended up with a spike deer! I was still pretty pumped.
“In common with”..... not so much!!
