Arizona Gambel's
« on: November 06, 2010, 10:24:14 AM »
Just got back from 3 days in the Arizona desert.  Lots of rain this year and lots of grass, flowers, and birds.  Got to see my niece (13 years old) hit her first quail on the wing.

First trip shooting left handed (left eye dominant) so missed a lot of birds.  But last two shells in the last hour of the third day...two birds.  Great way to finish.

Scud where were you hunting? My wife has family in Arizona and we go back three or four times a year. I wouldn't mind making a good trip out of the winter visits.

That's cool! I hope to get down there someday to visit my sister, who lives there, and do a little quail hunting.

In the good years it's tough to beat the shooting for those birds down there.  Glad you had a good time.
