Ted Turners Ranch any info?
« on: November 07, 2010, 03:27:05 PM »
Ive seen on here a few times about being able to harvest a buffalo for meat on his ranch.  If possible any info would be great. I couldnt find the old posts on it.  Thanks again

Looks like no cow/management bison this year.  Of note, his herd has recently tested positive for brucellosis.

I don't think TT owns the Flying D. Try that one. My dad shot one there. It's just a meat shoot.

Crap, I threw away the phone number and the address to the place I went last year.  If you search the threads, I know it was about this last year myself and Tmike went over and shot cow for meat.  Let me see if I can find the number to the ranch manager...

Well that's what I get for thinking, I stand corrected. I'd like to go shoot one sometime too.

There is a person that has buffalo hunts in the Cheney area. A Friend  of mine shot a bull with his bow this fall. He thought it was a good experience. Said the cost reasonable. He brought a piece of tender loin which my wife grilled for us, very good.
