Any good deals on upland vests?
« on: November 08, 2010, 07:53:26 PM »
My vest is too old and all of the shells fall out of it.

It must have room for plenty of shells

Must have a game bag

Must have enough blaze orange on it so that I don't have to wear a stupid orange vest on top of it.

If you guys have seen any good deals let me know!

THanks

This vest is the best. Great for warm weather and cold weather. Can carry water for you and the dog. Extra gear, firstaid kit etc.

I got have one and love it. Just don't let your dog see you take it past them...... ;)

Those vests are cool but only have 160 inches of orange while we need 400 in this state.  Thanks though!  BTW- camofire is an awesome website. Thanks for showing me that.

Look at my sig. I have a few choices when I wear this vest.

I have a blaze orange shirt. Long sleeve. I have a pull over wind breaker with blaze orange sleeves and top over the shoulders. I just layer up.

And you are correct that even their blaze orange version does not meet Washington regs.

But put some blaze orange on under it and away you go!!!

I do love it. Rides well loaded. I have walked 10 miles a day looking for Grouse and carried enough shells, water, food, firstaid kit and extra clothes with no problem.

Plus Bob is a great guy to deal with.

Better yet.......check this out. I have the vest on in this pic.

And this one

Just get some orange to wear under it. You will not be sorry.

I have this one and like it alot. Has bird opening in back, and also has the pack part for food or game shears etc. The ammo pouches are decent in the front. Can carry about 3 boxes of shells maybe 4 if you pack em in. I really like the strap setups. Helps with the weight when chukar hunting. The shoulder straps, belt and chest clip are all adjustable, so it makes it comfortable carrying a few big bottles of water and shells etc. Depending on your size, its under 70 bucks.
