Bear Baiting
« on: November 24, 2010, 08:49:01 AM »
Folks,
This is a perfect example of how the liberal do-gooders and tree huggers convince the rest of the world that we're hunting is bad. Check out this link.

Such BS!  I don't know where they get off.  How can they call it bear baiting when they clearly describe it as bear fighting? They are blending two completely different things into a cause that is missrepresented. This has nothing to do with bear baiting and the conservation of controlling bear numbers. The thing that is frustrating is that some morons are actually giving their money to this website.

"Unending fear and agony of being attacked: that is the life of a traumatized bear trapped in the gruesome "sport" of bear baiting. During these illegal events, audiences watch as vulnerable bears whose teeth and claws have been removed or filed down are tied to a post and set upon by specially trained dogs. Between events, the wounded, malnourished, and exhausted bears are left to languish in the scorching heat before being dragged out for another fight." ???? How is that bear baiting?????

How do you know its lies? I'm sure there could be some underground bear fighting rings. Sounds like a horrible thing to witness. But I sure wouldn't donate.... Who knows where the money is going.

I am just wondering if a couple of you are confused about the topic they are describing.  There are 2 different types of Bear Baiting.  One is for hunting and the other is for so called entertainment.  i am actually suprised this is still going on.
