Only when they are rutted up.  You essentially can't beat them off the doe.   If you don't scare the doe, then you won't scare the buck.  That is why they are so vulnerable during the rut and why rut hunts really knock out the big boys.   Sure its fun to have the tag in your pocket but.....   

Now you can work this to your advantage too as sometimes the does are trying to get the bucks away from them and will try to come camp in your pocket.   Its all about reading them.  Just like reading people.  There are all kinds.

Just give the GPS Loc and I will be your beacon. I promise I will let you hold them if I find em.  :chuckle: Just dont tell 509er or Antlerking. They are viscious. They find more horns than a trained dog.
