So shot a yote today at 60yds did the spin went to shot one of the other three and hit it looked back at the spinner and he was gone:( so two dogs down somewhere again I spent 30min looking

Just the one. And very small. Took a while to find it. Was no blood at all until I found it with my fingers. And no exit wound. Wierd. Looked all over and this is the only yote we found.
Saw plenty of elk though

Yea that's wierd those normaly leave big holes up close. That looks close to where the sec shot hit but who knows.

I am ready to heed Jerry's advice on the Vmax. My first coyote with my 204 Ruger (40 gr Vmax) had about 80% of its jacket stuck in the hide on the "going in" side.  The lead went through and tore up the animal, but I was very surprised that the jacket didn't even make it to the meat. I'll have to load up the Noslers Charles Shawley shared with me.

I have nat had a problem before but this is enough to make me move to the 52gr amax and try it
