If you are wanting to hunt huns, I would point you toward the palouse. Wait for a good snow and head that way. Great bird to hunt. The basin has them, but not nearly as many as you will find in the palouse. The breaks of the Snake river hold a lot of chukars on the slopes and huns on the top. Good luck.

The SE corner of the state definitely dominates in the hun department as opposed to the rest of the state.

Use to hunt huns right outside pullman in the wheat field's. Use to drive around the fields with the 4 wheelers and kick em up and watch where they land and then go kick em up and shoot em. They don't fly too far when you first kick em up so watch where they fly too. The best time is in the snow, you can see them huddled up in the snow in covey's.

Well, I spent the weekend in eastern WA with my brother. We did a little duck hunting and I really wanted to do some chukar hunting. So we went out with his dog looking for chukar. To my surprise, we came across some coveys of huns!
We didn't connect with any, but we had fun, and hiked some pretty country. I thought it was cool that we found huns, by accident, even if we didn't get any. I can't wait to go back and try again!
