Do you still have your eye on the other ones you found?

Over in the NE corner and around Ephrata for the eastside.  There are populations on the westside in certain places, some huntable some not.  I had two in my yard about three weeks ago here in Selah

Did they make it out alive :dunno: :dunno:

I've seen two grays in the columbia basin region, and my first red last year, in Tonasket.  I didn't shoot any of them.

Seen an all black fox up by Chinook Pass a few years ago.... Well, about 20 yrs ago....  Time flies.  Not sure if that was a Red or a Gray.  I haven't seen a fox in WA since, but do see them in Montana quite a bit.  Would really like to get one for a full body mount, along with a bobcat....

Seen a few here in Asotin County also....although I can count them all on one hand.

Of course, this doesn't count the small number of them that live around the county landfill.

Those little *censored*s dig monster holes for dens.  They live in my field, and I've about broken my neck hitting the holes with the 4 wheeler and tractor.  Been wanting to get one for a while; the female is especially pretty.  The only thing keeping me from getting one is the taxidermy cost on a mount.  The pups are cute as hell in the spring to watch.  I'd like to get a big female and a couple pups mounted some day.  However, the pups always show up right as the season closes, so that isn't too likely.

They are all over  San Juan Island... They were imported to balance out the Big Belgian hares that were introduced or escaped on the island.... there were no preditors on the island until then... I believe it is closed in the whole county now...

I have seen one in all my years of calling eastern washington and it was dead on the road.
Ephrata???
never saw a fox any where near there or moses lake in 15 years of calling and hunting all that area throughly.
If i did ever call one in i know i wouldnt shoot the dang thing , I would leave it for seed .

I've shot 3 and I've gotten my dad and buddy each one. All in tri cities in the past 3 years. I see them all the time but usually all you get is a quick look and they're gone. I'm waiting for the one I shot in november last year to get back from the taxidermist. Full body mount costing $400. I called my buddy in a black fox in september this year and I shot another red one in october. There are plenty around now and I've heard lots of people getting them up at moses lake. I'd like to know how they showed up at tri cities. First one I saw was about 10-12 years ago. Now I see them often.
