Want to create a hunting club? YEAH RIGHT! WCH/KKC
« on: November 17, 2010, 10:19:41 AM »
This is kinda long but will make since in the end!   i hunt turkey in the blues, there is plenty of bulls up there! I was there this rifle deer season and saw toads! Also the muzzle loader guys I believe when they draw take some huge animals! As for big bad ass bull public lands hold huge animals! You want big game find areas that are hard to get into but still hold game! I saw huge animals before the rifle season"general" didn't see them during but they are still there you just have to put the time in to find them! Just because you do draw that tag of a life time, doesn't mean you will fill it. So whats the point of putting in for that dream hunt? Why not hunt the general season and beat the local "big" bulls at there own game! After all elk are elk and you still have to be apart of the 7%er's! Maybe more or less depending on the area? I have seen huge bull here where I live, when I was in high school huge bulls in suixon unit, marble, and toutle. And know the biggest bulls ever in my life are roaming the blues..... You still have to find them. 3 months ago I seen the biggest rosie ever but haven't seen him since the general season started. You want a big bull hunt the high fence, quality is still to be had on public lands.... This is not to say  hope I draw my east side tag, because I would love it! Look at it this way the real reason these animals are huge is because the state makes big money on there big game! Think about how much money we spend on tags "special" permits! And then come to find out you finally draw one and the damn timber company locks the land! Or better yet some rich guy out bid you on a permit "http://rayonierhunting.com/" its a crock! We the average person should be allowed access to our land after all its the timber that pays the bills not our passion for game meat! I guess we should all be the Hunting Washington hunt club! Its my idea, don't try and use it! But for real think about this site and its members, How much could we as a hole group accomplish for our future and our children s! Wow I just went off my bad... I am just an average guy who enjoys the hunt as much as the reward... WCH/KKC! For life...... As for rayonier they posted signs on a honey hole of mine! After 10 years of huting I have to bid with a club to access lands ....wow, whats the world coming too?

What are you talking about? There aren't any elk in the blues! Are you drunk? This goes directly against our pact of silence when we brought you over to this side........It's a good thing you can't shoot straight, so I don't have to worry during the hunts! ;).... By forming a "club" you're doing every thing you just ranted about...locking up land for a privileged few......
My biggest fear is when I die, my wife will sell all my guns for what I said they cost me!     ;)

Why put in for a special permit, and "try to beat the local big bulls at their own game"???? because alot of areas are spike or true spike only...and alot of people dont like the wet-side...(no offence to the ethical and knowledgeable west side hunters)...that is why most hunters put in for the hunt of a lifetime draw.....oh, and it has been posted, but with a hunt club, it takes away from public hunting/fishing...maybe take away from a youth just getting into the game????   Just a couple of thoughts.....

thats why I say no to the hunt club and yes to public lands access, I said or meant to say we all should be a club EVERYONE THAT BUYS A TAG FROM WASHINGTON STATE! I get mad over the fact that rayonier timber is a bid style hunt. As for my terms WCH "WEST COAST HUNTER" and the KKC, thats inside term our camp use's.... I hate none public land, dont mind private property if the land owner allows use but thats there land to do what they want. As for timber company's I feel as long as there taking there tree's who cares who is on the land? And certain areas should be open to driving into. I guess its like politics, and religion way to many opinions. But thats why I serve my country so I can have one.  also no 4 wheelers? why do you see them in trucks if your gonna get a ticket for being on one? crazy is all I have to say! A

I already consider myself one of the priviledged few. I ive in a state wih over the counter tags, and lots of game....and a lot of land to hunt. there is plenty of elk in the ne corner to hunt and when we kill bulls here, they may not score 400, but they are still trophys to us. IMO, if you support hunt clubs you are part of the problem.

look at most states back east and the midwest.....you pretty much have to buy a lease to hunt. we are all lucky here.

keep your hunt club and go buy a hunk of ground, or do like I do and become a fanatic about the remote lands of this state....and enjoy them.

the thing about private property is the deed holder gets to make the rules.....lucky for me, i have part ownership in the national forest.

Sorry, but private timber company's can do what they want with there land. They can shot and lock teh gates and allow no access if they want.

I wanted to use a wooden club! the pressure we relied on this year wasnt there! And as for the old timers in my group hunting is getting harder for the with less access to the land! When my dad took me elk hunting for the fist time 17years ago, there were less locked gates and it seemed good hunts!

it is happening here too and I hate it, but the truth is, I am just a guest on their land. the beauty of the nat'l forest is that it is our land.

I detest them and refuse to participate in pay to play hunting for "wild" animals......however, my inner republican comes out...it is the land owners discresion as to how he will use it. if they choose to take a few bucks and lock out a bunch of average joes who are trying to get their kids into something more productive then drugs....so be it. perhaps the voulenteer fire dept. will not be in such a hurry when he is in trouble after he sold them out, or maybe when he has a flat tire on the side of the road we will just drive by because we need to earn more $$ so we can drive to some remote wilderness area to teach our kids to hunt.

greed is killing our country.
