I hunted near his property by Ennis last year. His property was loaded with whitetails. He has some nice property off the Madison river I saw some nice elk on it but it was spendy to hunt elk on.

In laws do a big reunion every 3 years on a ranch that border's Turner's ranch up the ruby river and there are hundred's of bison there. Last time I was there which was 1 1/2 yrs ago they had a book in each of there cabin's that had the pricing for taking a bison off his property. They have some agreement with him or something. Some beautiful country and animal's up there. From the lodge we've seen bighorn's, antelope, elk, and deer, and of course ted's bison, which they do get out frome time to time I hear.

Here's the link to the ranch that border's turner's property: www.ucomontana.com

As far as I know, the brucellosis confirmation has only affected the FlyingD ranch to the point of closing it down to harvest and I believe it's keeping any bison from leaving that ranch. The others now have to run blood tests on each animal before they are loaded onto trucks and leave the property. Not sure for how long.

Most of these larger ranches mainly have a commercial interest in bison. My understanding is that the prices for bison meat is higher than normal these days and the ranches are getting more $$ for the animals at market than selling them to us.

The Upper Canyon folks are great too. Good people. They have a sweet piece of real estate.

May the morning silence be broken with the wisp of vanes trailing blades to their mark.

There is a guy in Waterville that I ran into 4-5 years ago that raises buffalo. I think he has meat hunts. Google it.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............
