Cougeyes, would you believe me if I told you?

One ticket......honestly.

I also drew a doe tag in the Olympic Unit but couldn't justify heading West when I had any free time.  When I was first notified of the drawing I was a Mule Deer rookie but I can honestly say I am doing my best to honor the Tag and do it justice.  I have relied on a lot of different people for help and it's amazing how much you learn talking and hunting with other people almost every day for four months.  It's the equivalent of hunting Mule Deer for 10 years and you can't replicate the knowledge of guys like videoman, wabonehunter, wastickslinger, 509er and a bunch of others that I don't even know if they are on this site.

Over the last month I have talked to the Governor's Tag guys each weekend.  We've shared stories, frustrations and insights along the way.  Like I said, this experience can't be replicated regardless of what the final buck scores......

Sorry rambling again.....Can't get this tag off my mind and looking forward to getting out again this weekend!

When this thing ends and I get permission from people it will be a crack up story if people are interested.

I'm glad that is the answer because i think i only bought two and it gives me hope (very slim) of drawing but it is nice to know that someone who just buys one is able to draw.

Yeah like i said earlier on this thread since you're a rookie at mule deer hunting it blows my mind you are able to keep your finger off the trigger as long as you have.  Keep at it. I heard the incentive tag holder shot one in the Entiat, but it wasn't that big only like 23" wide.

Some years back I won a special permit for the Green River Watershed. I could take someone with me and I had company virtually everyday during the hunt. I saw deer every day, so did not worry about filling the tag when the time came. Well, the last two days I never saw one deer. NOT ONE! I still consider it a success though. What a blast to look at all four corners of an area not many people get to go into.

I have really enjoyed following this story and hope it all turns out in you favor and you drop the hammer and a monster... i can't even imagine the pressure that comes with this tag but pressure produces results... so common show us some results!  :o  But seriously good luck on your hunt and dont drop your standards find what you want and finish this thing!

Have been enjoying this story for a while now, way to set a goal and stick with it. My hat is off to you. Good luck with the remainder of your hunt.
