I dont know the whole story, my wife received this from a friend. Her Uncle had been loosing cattle on his ranch in Idaho so he went out and waited for the wolves to show up. I will get more info if this hasn't made the site yet.

Good to know its been around. Fun to look at anyway. I am going to call her and see if it really was her uncle and where he shot it. I just could'nt believe the size of that thing.

I heard it was shot in Wyoming, either way it is dead and that is a good thing.

and the wolf only has 3 legs and the guys hands are enormous and it was shot in Russia and blah blah blah.
This wolf's been dead for 2-3 years now I think.
When did your uncle's friend shoot this wolf?

Dont know. My wife was talking with a friend about me going elk hunting next week, she sent this picture and said her uncle shot it after it killed some cattle. She lives in Idaho...thats all I know. I did jump on line and google it and think it's probably BS. the picture has been around since Oct 2009 and everything from Alberta, Idaho, Montana, Alaska??? Either way, its one huge freekin' wolf. Wifey sent an email to see if she could verify. My guess is its fake because anyone who shot a wolf this big would be in the paper and I couldn't find a single article from a mainstream paper. Still pretty cool to look at!
