Mrs. Norsepeak's big Palouse whitetail!
« on: November 17, 2010, 07:03:27 PM »
Only hunted one day on some private ground we have permission on, saw three bucks, but this one was by far the biggest.  Saw him feeding in a very brushy canyon.  Snuck up to 221 yards, and she made a great shot on him dropping him in his tracks.

Thanks for the nice comments guys, makes the wifey very happy.  Might be another season or two before baby Peak gets to shoot one, but I know for sure she will be with mom and dad on many hunts. :)

Hey Norse I don't know how much experience you have in that area but for that area that is a HUGE buck and something to be very proud of.  I've only seen one buck bigger than that one but the wife only had a doe tag.  Big congratulations to your wife.  That is an impressive buck.

Colockum,
I've hunted a lot in the palouse and that's the biggest buck I've ever seen over there.  I was very excited when I saw it and realized we might get a shot. She was cool as a cucumber, but I was a nervous wreck...lol
