Nice catch. :)
I am not opposed to golf, for I suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy from discovering deer.

I was south of Kettle on the river.  This deer was nuts.  His doe was quite happy I intervened with him.  Her tongue was hanging out about 6 inches.  She hid behind me while he frantically tried to pick up her scent.  I stood by her hoping he'd come in and stop for a second but he kept running by.

I had never seen a mature whitey act quite so finatic.  They can be nuts, but he kept running by.  Generally after you spook them they at least go hide for awhile.  You would have never got a shot off with a bow.   He never held still long enough.  He was certainly close enough.  rifle might have been fun.  I'll post some more pics.
