Cool buck Rasbo.  That blackie has some age to him it appears and nice bone for a Forky.  I can't get over the size of him and how awesome those back straps are gonna taste.  I've taken a couple mule deer rattlin, an occasional grunt and moving ever so slow, it worked for me during the rut, but since the season closes over here before the rut I haven't done it in a while.  Sure did work on that blacktail.  Super pics and write-up Rasbo and friends like that are what makes a good hunting season complete.    John

I bet that 180# is pretty darn close. My brother got a 3x in the general season that weighed 140# minus guts, head, hide and lower legs. After weighting the other parts and adding for the guts they came up with 190# for an estimated live weight.

That's a big fork!   How was the meat on that old boy?  I shot a buck once that had been creased by a bullet and the meat had turned and was too the point of not being edible.

I took the deer to MT view meats,this is the first deer I let someone have here to process.I was in so much pain I couldnt even skin it..I know Im whinning,,the meat looked fine,
