weighed him at Mt view,180lbs is what we figured,,138 lbs no head legs or guts.Im thinking thats a good guess,, as far as ugly, well maybe he seen how ugly I am and was gonna put me outta my misery.. :chuckle:

I bet that 180# is pretty darn close. My brother got a 3x in the general season that weighed 140# minus guts, head, hide and lower legs. After weighting the other parts and adding for the guts they came up with 190# for an estimated live weight.

Again, nice buck. Congrats.

Wifes buck was 145 hanging meat no lower legs or head, 175 no guts, 220 live and those are all weighed.

Nice buck rasbo... Until you shot his face off. Just kidding. Glad you connected and that's going to be a lot of good eating too.

Real nice buck, Rasbo. Congratulations and way to power through the pain.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield
